Todays Learnings 04 Jan IP Address

Internet Protocol Address:

This number is an exclusive number all information technology devices (printers, routers, modems, et al) use which identifies and allows them the ability to communicate with each other on a computer network. There is a standard of communication which is called an Internet Protocol standard (IP). In laymans terms it is the same as your home address. In order for you to receive snail mail at home the sending party must have your correct mailing address (IP address) in your town (network) or you do not receive bills, pizza coupons or your tax refund. The same is true for all equipment on the internet. Without this specific address, information cannot be received. IP addresses may either be assigned permanently for an Email server/Business server or a permanent home resident or temporarily, from a pool of available addresses (first come first serve) from your Internet Service Provider. A permanent number may not be available in all areas and may cost extra so be sure to ask your ISP.

Domain Name System (DNS):

This allows the IP address to be translated to words. It is much easier for us to remember a word than a series of numbers. The same is true for email addresses.

For example, it is much easier for you to remember a web address name such as whatismyip.com than it is to remember 192.168.1.1 or in the case of email it is much easier to remember email@somedomain.com than email@192.168.1.1

Dynamic IP: One that is not static and could change at any time. This type of IP is issued to you from a pool of IP addresses allocated by your ISP or DHCP Server. This is for a large number of customers that do not require the same IP all the time for a variety of reasons. Your computer will automatically get this number as it logs on to the network and saves you the trouble of having to know details regarding the specific network configurations. This number can be assigned to anyone using a dial-up connection, Wireless and High Speed Internet connections. If you need to run your own email server or web server, it would be best to have a static IP.

Static IP: One that is fixed and never changes. This is in contrast to a dynamic IP which may change at any time. Most ISP's a single static IP or a block of static IP's for a few extra bucks a month.

IP version 4: Currently used by most network devices. However, with more and more computers accessing the internet, IPv4 IPs are running out quickly. Just like in a city, addresses have to be created for new neighborhoods but, if your neighborhood gets too large, you will have to come up with an entire new pool of addresses. IPv4 is limited to 4,294,967,296 IPs.

IP version 5: This is an experimental protocol for UNIX based systems. In keeping with standard UNIX (a computer Operating System) release conventions, all odd-numbered versions are considered experimental. It was never intended to be used by the general public.

IP version 6: The replacement for the aging IPv4. The estimated number of unique IPs for IPv6 is 340,282,366,920,938,463,463,374,607,431,768,211,456 or 2^128.

The old and current standard of IPs was this: 192.168.100.100 the new way can be written different ways but means the same and are all valid:

1. How Do You Define Ayurveda?

Ayurveda can be defined as a system, which uses the inherent principles of nature, to help maintain health in a person by keeping the individual's body, mind and spirit in perfect equilibrium with nature.

What is the Meaning of Ayurveda?:
Ayurveda is a Sanskrit term, made up of the words "ayus" and "veda." "Ayus" means life and "Veda" means knowledge or science. The term "ayurveda" thus means 'the knowledge of life' or 'the science of life'. According to the ancient Ayurvedic scholar Charaka, "ayu" comprises the mind, body, senses and the soul.

What is the Origin of Ayurveda?:
Widely regarded as the oldest form of healthcare in the world, Ayurveda is an intricate medical system that originated in India thousands of years ago. The fundamentals of Ayurveda can be found in Hindu scriptures called the Vedas — the ancient Indian books of wisdom. The Rig Veda, which was written over 6,000 years ago, contains a series of prescriptions that can help humans overcome various ailments.

What does Ayurveda do to you?:
The aim of this system is to prevent illness, heal the sick and preserve life. This can be summed up as follows:

•To protect health and prolong life ("Swasthyas swasthya rakshanam")
•To eliminate diseases and dysfunctions of the body ("Aturasya vikar prashamanamcha")

What are the Basic Principles of Ayurveda?:
Ayurveda is based on the premise that the universe is made up of five elements: air, fire, water, earth and ether. These elements are represented in humans by three "doshas", or energies: Vata, Pitta and Kapha. When any of the doshas accumulate in the body beyond the desirable limit, the body loses its balance. Every individual has a distinct balance, and our health and well-being depend on getting a right balance of the three doshas ("tridoshas"). Ayurveda suggests specific lifestyle and nutritional guidelines to help individuals reduce the excess dosha.

A healthy person, as defined in Sushrut Samhita, one of the primary works on Ayurveda, is "he whose doshas are in balance, appetite is good, all tissues of the body and all natural urges are functioning properly, and whose mind, body and spirit are cheerful..."

What is 'Tridosha' or the Theory of Bio-energies?:
The three doshas, or bio-energies found in our body are:

•Vata pertains to air and ether elements. This energy is generally seen as the force, which directs nerve impulses, circulation, respiration, and elimination.
•Kapha pertains to water and earth elements. Kapha is responsible for growth and protection. The mucousal lining of the stomach, and the cerebral-spinal fluid that protects the brain and spinal column are examples of kapha.
•Pitta pertains to fire and water elements. This dosha governs metabolism, e.g., the transformation of foods into nutrients. Pitta is also responsible for metabolism in the organ and tissue systems.

The Practice of surgery has been recorded in India around 800 B. C. This need not come as a surprise because surgery (Shastrakarma) is one of the eight branches of Ayurveda the ancient Indian System of medicine. The oldest Samhita ( Shushuta’s compendium). Sushruta Samhita is the only complete book we have which deals with the problems of practical surgery and midwifery. Shushruta was one of the first to study the human anatomy. In the Shusruta Samhita he has described in detail the study of anatomy. Shusruta’s forte was rhinoplasty (Plastic surgery) and ophthalmology (ejection of cataracts).

Shushruta has described surgery under eight heads Chedya (excision), Lekhya (scarification), Vedhya (puncturing), Esya (exploration), Ahrya (extraction), Vsraya (evacuation) and Sivya (Suturing). Perhaps the greatest contribution of Shushruta was the operation of rhinoplasty (restoration of a multilated nose by plastic survey). The detailed description of the rhinoplasty operation in the Shusurta Samhita is amazingly meticulous and comprehensive. These is evidence to show that his success in this kind of surgery was very high, which attracted people from all over the country and perhaps even from outside.

Shushruta moved by his intense humane approach to life and equipped with superb surgical skills, elevated the art of surgery to the status of a practical science. The details of the steps of this operation, as recorded in the Shushruta Samhita, are amazingly similar to the steps that are followed even to-day in such advanced plastic surgery.


What is 'Panchakarma' or the Therapy of Purification?:
If toxins in the body are abundant, then a cleansing process known as panchakarma is recommended to purge these unwanted toxins. This fivefold purification therapy is a classical form of treatment in ayurveda. These specialized procedures consist of the following:

•Therapeutic vomiting or emesis (Vaman)
•Purgation (Virechan)
•Enema (Basti)
•Elimination of toxins through the nose (Nasya)
•Bloodletting or detoxification of the blood (Rakta moksha)

2.5 High Availability Management
Oracle Enterprise Manager Grid Control is an HTML-based user interface that provides the administrator with complete monitoring across the entire Oracle technology stack—business applications, application servers, databases, and the E-Business Suite—as well as non-Oracle components within the Grid. If a component within the Grid becomes unavailable or experiences performance problems, an alert is automatically generated to the Enterprise Manager console to inform the administrator so appropriate action can be taken.

The components of the Oracle Enterprise Manager Grid Control include:

•Oracle Management Service (OMS) - a J2EE Web application that renders the user interface for the Grid Control Console, works with all Management Agents to process monitoring information, and uses the Management Repository as its persistent data store

•Oracle Management Agents - processes deployed on each monitored host to monitor all targets on the host, communicate that information to the Management Service, and maintain the host and its targets

•Oracle Management Repository - schema in the Oracle database that contains all available information about administrators, targets, and applications managed by Enterprise Manager

Communication between the console, the OMS, and Oracle Management Agents is done through HTTP. SSL can also be enabled to allow secure communications between tiers within firewall-protected environments. The Management Agent uploads collected monitoring data to the OMS, which in turn loads the data into the Management Repository. Changes in a target state (such as an availability state change) result in an alert being generated to the Enterprise Manager Console.

Using Oracle Enterprise Manager Grid Control, an administrator can:
•Monitor architecture components and be alerted when a failure occurs
•View overall system status, such as the number of nodes in the database cluster and their current status
•View alerts aggregated across all instances
•Set thresholds for alert generation on a database cluster-wide basis
•Monitor performance metric across all instances
•Perform database cluster-wide operations such as backup and recovery
•Viewing hardware and operating system information in the entire Grid as a whole
•Interconnect monitoring of cluster databases

So, On 29th and 30th Oct., My parents Ekadshi Udyapan got completed without much fuss and its really nice to see them Happy after accomplished this task.

Its a great Pooja and Daan which they did in their entire life.

Its a Big Function and We called all our main guest in this function.

Have you ever noticed the phenomenon that is called thought-transference? A man here is thinking something, and that thought is manifested in somebody else, in some other place. With preparations — not by chance — a man wants to send a thought to another mind at a distance, and this other mind knows that a thought is coming, and he receives it exactly as it is sent out. Distance makes no difference. The thought goes and reaches the other man, and he understands it. If your mind were an isolated something here, and my mind were an isolated something there, and there were no connection between the two, how would it be possible for my thought to reach you? In the ordinary cases, it is not my thought that is reaching you direct; but my thought has got to be dissolved into ethereal vibrations and those ethereal vibrations go into your brain, and they have to be resolved again into your own thoughts. Here is a dissolution of thought, and there is a resolution of thought. It is a roundabout process. But in telepathy, there is no such thing; it is direct.

This shows that there is a continuity of mind, as the Yogis call it. The mind is universal. Your mind, my mind, all these little minds, are fragments of that universal mind, little waves in the ocean; and on account of this continuity, we can convey our thoughts directly to one another.

You see what is happening all around us. The world is one of influence. Part of our energy is used up in the preservation of our own bodies. Beyond that, every particle of our energy is day and night being used in influencing others. Our bodies, our virtues, our intellect, and our spirituality, all these are continuously influencing others; and so, conversely, we are being influenced by them. This is going on all around us. Now, to take a concrete example. A man comes; you know he is very learned, his language is beautiful, and he speaks to you by the hour; but he does not make any impression. Another man comes, and he speaks a few words, not well arranged, ungrammatical perhaps; all the same, he makes an immense impression. Many of you have seen that. So it is evident that words alone cannot always produce an impression. Words, even thoughts contribute only one-third of the influence in making an impression, the man, two-thirds. What you call the personal magnetism of the man — that is what goes out and impresses you.

The word Karma is derived from the Sanskrit Kri, to do; all action is Karma. Technically, this word also means the effects of actions. In connection with metaphysics, it sometimes means the effects, of which our past actions were the causes. But in Karma-Yoga we have simply to do with the word Karma as meaning work. The goal of mankind is knowledge. That is the one ideal placed before us by Eastern philosophy. Pleasure is not the goal of man, but knowledge. Pleasure and happiness come to an end. It is a mistake to suppose that pleasure is the goal. The cause of all the miseries we have in the world is that men foolishly think pleasure to be the ideal to strive for. After a time man finds that it is not happiness, but knowledge, towards which he is going, and that both pleasure and pain are great teachers, and that he learns as much from evil as from good. As pleasure and pain pass before his soul they have upon it different pictures, and the result of these combined impressions is what is called man's "character". If you take the character of any man, it really is but the aggregate of tendencies, the sum total of the bent of his mind; you will find that misery and happiness are equal factors in the formation of that character. Good and evil have an equal share in moulding character, and in some instances misery is a greater teacher than happiness. In studying the great characters the world has produced, I dare say, in the vast majority of cases, it would be found that it was misery that taught more than happiness, it was poverty that taught more than wealth, it was blows that brought out their inner fire more than praise.

There was once a minister to a great king. He fell into disgrace. The king, as a punishment, ordered him to be shut up in the top of a very high tower. This was done, and the minister was left there to perish. He had a faithful wife, however, who came to the tower at night and called to her husband at the top to know what she could do to help him. He told her to return to the tower the following night and bring with her a long rope, some stout twine, pack thread, silken thread, a beetle, and a little honey. Wondering much, the good wife obeyed her husband, and brought him the desired articles. The husband directed her to attach the silken thread firmly to the beetle, then to smear its horns with a drop of honey, and to set it free on the wall of the tower, with its head pointing upwards. She obeyed all these instructions, and the beetle started on its long journey. Smelling the honey ahead it slowly crept onwards, in the hope of reaching the honey, until at last it reached the top of the tower, when the minister grasped the beetle, and got possession of the silken thread. He told his wife to tie the other end to the pack thread, and after he had drawn up the pack thread, he repeated the process with the stout twine, and lastly with the rope. Then the rest was easy. The minister descended from the tower by means of the rope, and made his escape. In this body of ours the breath motion is the "silken thread"; by laying hold of and learning to control it we grasp the pack thread of the nerve currents, and from these the stout twine of our thoughts, and lastly the rope of Prana, controlling which we reach freedom.

FAP: Find A Part

1. FAP: Find A Part: - It's an online Store website which shows information about all the products Agilent sold to its customers. Product related information and their prices as per their location are also shown in the website. Customers can order from this website for these Products.
   
2. A.Com maintains the FAP DB which is refreshed from OPRD DB Server (OPRD DB is maintained by Oracle which contains all product related information across all Agilent Applications) OPRD DB is the common repository for all the Agilent Products.
   
3. Monthly FAP Processing:
   
   1. Extract Receiving and loading in FAP DB:
      
      1. On Monthly Basis, A.Com received FAP Pricing Extract from Pricing Team at our Job Server. There Pricing Extracts contains latest pricing for all the products. Pricing Extracts consists of pricing information for all the products and each extract file indicates the pricing of products related to a single country. Each Extract is renamed as per the naming of the Extract File by putting suffix as the concerned country name.
         
      2. There is a FAPBATCH Schema which exists in acomip92:CIADUP DB Server. FAPBATCH Schema contains External Tables for each country pricing. These External Tables are reads the renames extract file as these external tables are referring to each country's pricing extract.
         
      3. FAP_ITEM_PRICING Table is prepared when one Package execute @ FAPBATCH Schema. Then FAP_ITEM_PRICING table is exported and imported in main FAP DB (CIAPX1) @ the prod server (acomp30/31).
         
   2. FAP DB Refresh:
      
      1. FAP DB contains a set of 9 tables which contains the product related information. These 9 tables need to be refreshed from OPRD DB Server.
         
      2. 
         
4. Daily updation of FAP DB tables from TIBCO: At the TIBCO end some application connect to A.Com FAP DB and update/insert data in set of 9 PI tables.

Monu is back @ Home in Hapur

I am much relieved person now as Monu is back @ Home now in Hapur.

Really I was bit scared with the situation in which he was on FRIDAY.
Myself and all other relatives goes in search of Donors on that day and that was really very very thoughtful sitution on that day.

But Finally Sonu managed the people who can contribute Blood for this cause.

People come to me from my Company Headstrong to Donate on my request.

Today is Diwali

Diwali Celebrations are in full flow.
But few things happens which really bring down the tempo to celebrate Diwali this time.

1. Mamaji Got Expired on Last Saturday (10th Oct)
2. Monu (My Cousion Brother) got affected with DENGU and now in hospital Fortis, Noida. Now he is on recovery stage.

Lets see how the things will move ahead now onwards.

on 11th Oct Whole Day gone @ BRAJGHAT for Mamajee Kriyakarm.
Really that was sad to see such things.

Gone in Bus after many many days.
I was very much tired on that day after returning back home.
On that day one festival was there Ahoi Astami. Ladies use to be on Feast on this day for their children.

Then Yesterday was also the tiring day.
I had gone for a walk upto DDPS in the coloney.
Day 1 for the walk.

My Elder MamaJee Got Expired

So, My Elder MamaJee got Expired today as I got the news just now from Neeraj and then I rang phone to PAPA.

The death happens due to Heart Attack.
This all happens in the life.
I have seen him since my childhood begins. He has served in the Army for 9 Yr. and then run their whole life in Meerut by residing at L-Block.
He has 3 child and all 3 are Married with 2 child each.
Rishu who was married few years back, The only son of MamaJee currently residing in Mathura along with his wife and twins child amongst them one is girl and other one is Boy.

So Kal ka Fix ho Gaya Meerut Tour.

Saturday 10th Oct Proceedings

On Saturday which is a Holiday,

Leena is busy in doing the Diwali Safai in the Home along with Shruti Since Morning.
Piyush is Busy in playing computer games @ Internet.

Myself intially see some articles on Net and trying to see the patch for upgrading oracle 10.2.0.1 to 10.2.0.4.
But the patch which was available with me is corrupted.
So I put that patch again on download.
As my Unlimited Internet Connection of BSNL will take Appx. 10 Hrs to download that patch again which is of size 986 MB, So today that patch will download and tomorrow only I can do this activity on my Sony Vaio.

After that I have seen RAJYOGA from Swami Vivekanand. Its a finest book. I try to read few of the pages from this Book but not able to concentrate much on this.
But finally able to read the first chapter of this book.

After that TV is on and I am seeing TV along with shruti although we had our breakfast around 11:00 and Lunch around 02:30 PM.

Firstly I have seen Sa Re Ga Ma Pa L'll Champs then Carol Bagh 12/24 and then Hero Movie Minakshi Sheshadri and Jackie Shroff Fisrt Movie and then KAL HO NA HO.

But abhi current gone for at least 2 Hrs.

So think to write something on my Blog.

Thats what I am doing now.

I would like to also recognize the work of the AWS team on this project; specifically Sarvesh Tiwari, Hemant Upadhyay, Soumendu Bhattacharya and Pankaj Agarwal. They did an excellent job and really made the difference on having a successful release. I particularly appreciate the initiative they took on many issues, creating a true partnership with our Agilent team. This is exactly the kind of leadership and expertise we look for from your team with every project.

6,7th Updates

So, Yesterday, It was KARWACHAUTH.

Reached office in Morning and Back at 7:30 PM to celebrate the same.
and Day Before on 6th Back @ home @ 11:40 PM.

Yesterday was the Issue Day:
1. EUP Issue: Rollout speed for English Rollout reached at the lowest level Ever.
2. A.Com Issue: acomp30 DB Server Showing again some signs for CPU Utilization High @ 90% and above levels.

Raise the alarms to DBCC for both the issues.
Waiting for their response.

Also, One Good Thing Happen:
Received Appreciation Mail from Marlene (Who is heading Agilent Technologies) for 10g upgrade Project.

On 6th IDR Done for me after I send the mail. Surprisingly Both the Mgrs take my IDR and consult my Issues and we are not in Sync as Always.
I told them to sent me onsite or shift me in some other project as I am fed with this SE Task and Team Activities.
But these people try to impress me with their Talks. Although they did not get the success. Famous Dialog: Positive Energies should be shown always.

OK, Whatever it is. Abhi to apun yehi hai So Can't say ki abhi kitna jhelna baki hai.
